Gambier, Ohio - Behind six second or third place finishes on Saturday, the women's swimming team maintained its lead over Kenyon and won the Total Performance Invitational for the third year in a row.

The finals began Saturday night with the 200 Medley Relay, where the Penn 'A' team of Lauryn Brown, Laura Klick, Taylor Sneed and Christina Hurley secured third place with a time of 1:45.13. Klick would finish second in the 200 Breaststoke (2:18.97) and Sneed third in the 100 Butterfly (56.10) later in the evening.

Following the relay, Carly Gurick and Rebecca Aiello were among the final eight to compete in the 500 Freestyle. As the race progressed, five swimmers made a break from the pack, leading to a thrilling finish in which they all finished within a second of each other. Gurick came in third (5:00.54), but lost by only .12 to the champion from Bowling Green. Aiello finished fourth in 5:00.88.

Blair Webb added a second place finish in the 200 Backstroke (2:04.69), and Melissa Parratto came in third in the 200 IM (2:06.85), as well.

The Quakers have one last meet before the holidays, traveling to New York to face Columbia and Harvard on Friday. The meet will begin at 4 p.m.
