Boca Raton, Fla.
- Penn women's swimming showed they used the winter break well, knocking off a pair of opponents on Wednesday at the FAU Aquatic Center. The Quakers had an easy time of it against Brown, earning a 174-107 win, while also moving past Florida Atlantic to the tune of 154-124.

The 200 Medley Relay 'A' team of Lauryn Brown, Laura Klick, Taylor Sneed and Christina Hurley started the day off with a close victory over the 'A' team from Florida Atlantic, touching the wall in a time of 1:49.75. Hurley swam a blistering final 50 yards to distance the team from the pack.

One of the distance events was up next, and Penn asserted control with a 1-2-3 finish in the 1000 Freestyle. Julie Anderson came in first in 10:32.16 while Rebecca Aiello (10:37.91) and Kristi Edleson (10:39.79) weren't far behind.

Shelby Fortin continued what her teammates started, flying through the water in 1:54.74 to win the 200 Freestyle by over three seconds. Fortin later added another title in the 100 Free, finishing in 53.20.

Laura Klick and Taylor Sneed were Penn's two other individual winners on the day. Klick squeaked past FAU's Eszter Bucz in the 100 Breaststroke, reaching the finish in 1:06.29 to win by .09 of a second. Sneed --who already holds a school record in the 100 Butterfly-- continues to dominate the event, easing past a field of 16 swimmers to win in 58.78.

The Red and Blue return to action on January 14, traveling to Dartmouth to face the Big Green, as well as the Yale Bulldogs. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
