PHILADELPHIA - After hitting the road for 54-hole events the last two weekends, the Penn men's golf team gets to play host on Monday for a 36-hole affair. Penn will be joined by eight other Division I teams - Maryland, Iona, Mount St. Mary's, Monmouth, La Salle, St. Peter's, St. Francis (N.Y.) and Manhattan. Four NCAA Division III program are also in the field: Franklin & Marshall, McDaniel, St. John Fisher and Wesley College.
The Quakers' lineup will feature the same five players from last weekend's Maryland Intercollegiate -- senior Kevin Huntington, junior Dillon Hakes, sophomore Colin St. Maxens, and freshmen Max Marsico and Marco Fortades. In addition, three Penn players will be in the field playing as individuals -- P.J. Fielding, Geoff Locher and Philip Winter.
"We are excited to host this week and get another shot at Maryland," said head coach Scott Allen. "In particular, I'm excited to see what Colin does -- he won this tournament last fall and finished second in the spring, shooting 142 both times."
