REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - In an event that was cut from 36 holes to 18 due to inclement weather, the Penn men's golf team hosted and finished second at the Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational Monday at Kings Creek.

The Quakers' lineup carded 295 to finish behind Maryland (281). Iona was third (299) while Mount St. Mary's finished fourth (299).

Individually, freshman Max Marsico posted his second straight runner-up finish on Monday, carding a 70 to finish one shot behind Maryland's John Popek and tied with Maryland's Tom Hanna and Iona's Dylan Newman. From the Quakers' lineup, Kevin Huntington, Colin St. Maxens and Dillon Hakes all shot 75 and tied for 16th, while Marco Fortades carded a 78 and tied for 35th. Three Penn players also competed as individuals -- P.J. Fielding, who tied for fifth in the field with a 71; Philip Winter (74); and Geoff Locher (78). In all, 71 golfers competed in the event.

"This was our fourth straight runner-up finish at Rehoboth," said head coach Scott Allen. "It was a solid result for our guys, we beat all of the teams that I think we should be beating. I was pleased with the balance of our results."

Penn will be back in action October 9-10 for the Big Five Classic. This year's 36-hole event will be played in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
