TENAFLY, N.J. - In its final tune-up before next weekend's Ivy League Championships, the University of Pennsylvania women's golf team finished second out of five teams at the annual Roar-EE Invitational, which ran all day Friday at Knickerbocker Country Club.

In a five-team field, Penn was chasing host Columbia after the first round. And while the Quakers made up three strokes on the Lions in Friday's second round, it was not enough as Columbia earned the team title with a two-round 610 (302-308). Penn shot 309 Friday morning, then improved to 305 in the second round for a two-round total of 614.

Penn could also be bolstered by the top of its lineup, as the Quakers went 2-3-4 in a field of 24 golfers. Freshman Marissa Kay was the Red and Blue's low scorer for the event, shooting a first-round 76 and following up with a 75 for a two-round total of 151. That was four shots behind the individual champion, Columbia's Monique Ishikawa (74-73--147).

Sophia Chen finished third overall (76-76--152), while Amanda Chin was fourth (75-78--153). Erin Lo improved by six strokes from her first round to the second round, and ended the tournament ninth overall (82-76--158). Senior Olivia Chang rounded out Penn's lineup, shooting 94-89--183.

Penn will be Baltusrol next Friday through Sunday for the Ivy League Championships.
