Women's Golf Fifth After Day 1 at Ivy Champs

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team is in fifth place after one day at the Ivy League Championships, which are taking place this weekend on Baltusrol’s upper course.

Penn shot 320 on the par-72 setup on Friday morning. Harvard is in the lead after carding a 297, which is eight shots ahead of second-place Princeton (305) and 15 shots ahead of third-place Yale (312). Columbia is fourth, at 316.

Erin Lo was the Quakers’ low scorer on Friday, carding a 76 which has her tied for seventh in a 35-player field. Marissa Kay’s 80 puts her tied for 16th, while Amanda Chin shot 81 which has her tied for 20th. Isabella Rahm (83) is tied for 23rd, while Sophia Chen (84) is tied for 25th.

Harvard’s Anne Cheng holds the individual lead after shooting a 2-under-par 70 on Friday. She is one shot up on Yale’s Elisabeth Bernabe; the rest of the field is four strokes back.

The teams will tee off Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m., with the final round taking place Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. Penn’s tee times on Saturday have Chen going off at 12:10; Rahm at 12:18; Chin at 12:26; Kay at 12:34; and Lo at 12:42. The Quakers are paired with Columbia.
