WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Penn women's golf team finished third out of 20 teams at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, which concluded Sunday at the Blackheath Course at Ford's Colony Resort. The 36-hole event was hosted by William & Mary.
Penn shot 310 as a team on Sunday and finished at 315-310--625. That put the Quakers behind only champion Yale (296-310--606) and second-place St. John's (308-308--616). Bucknell was fourth (319-312--631), while Penn State and Old Dominion tied for fifth.
Individually, sophomore Isabel Han and freshman Michelle Lee tied for fifth place; Han shot 76 on Sunday and ended at 151 for the tourney, while Lee carded 77 on Sunday and also finished at 151 for the event. Junior Tiffany Cheung (83-77-160) tied for 25th, while freshman Rui Li (83-80--163) tied for 39th. Freshman Olivia Chang (84-81--165) tied for 49th in the 111-player field.
The individual champion was Yale freshman Seo Hee Moon, who parlayed a first-round 66 into a two-round 142 and won the title by six strokes over a pair of St. John's women.
Penn is back in action April 4-5 at the 54-hole Hoya Invitational in Beallsville, Md.
