The 54-hole event will be held on the par-72, 6,405-yard Fazio Course at the Red Sky Golf Club in Edwards, Colo. The teams will start at 10 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday off of No. 1 and No. 10; on Wednesday, the teams will start their round with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
According to Penn Head Coach Mark Anderson, the 18-team field features some of the heaviest hitters in women's college golf.
"This is the biggest regular-season event we have ever played in," said Anderson, who enters his fourth season with the Quakers. "We will be facing 12 top-50 teams in the event. I know our team is capable of beating a few of them and finishing in the upper half of the field. The women have been working hard, and we will have two days to get used to the elevation change and how that will affect the golf ball.
"Our goal is to become a top-50 program, and this is a great opportunity for us to see how we play against some of the best teams in the country."
Penn's lineup will certainly be familiar with anyone who has followed the Quakers in recent years, as four players who have garnered All-Ivy recognition during their career will represent the team in Colorado -- senior Tiffany Cheung, junior Isabel Han, and sophomores Michelle Lee and Rui Li. They will be joined by newcomer Amanda Chin, whose resume is arguably the most impressive of any recruit in the program's short history.
