Women's Golf Tied for Seventh at C&F Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Penn women's golf team is tied for seventh in a 21-team field after the first day of the C&F Women's Intercollegiate, being hosted by William & Mary. The teams played their first rounds on Sunday, and will continue with a second round on Monday and a final round on Tuesday.

The Quakers shot 317 (+33) as a team on the par-71 Kingsmill Resort Sunday and are tied with High Point. Longwood is in first place, having shot 300 on Sunday which puts them seven shots ahead of second-place St. John's.

Individually, three Penn players shot 79 on Sunday and are in a pack tied for 28th in the 110-player field -- senior Tiffany Cheung, junior Isabel Han, and freshman Amanda Chin. Sophomore Michelle Lee carded an 80 on Sunday and is tied for 39th, while junior Elizabeth Kresock shot an 83 and is tied for 57th.

Longwood's Kameron Carter is the first-round leader; she shot an even-par 71 on Sunday and is one stroke ahead of Toledo's Piyathida Chaiyapan.
