PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team closes out the fall portion of its season this weekend, as the Quakers participate in the University of Delaware Fall Invitational.
The Fall Invitational will take place at the par-71 Rehoboth Beach Country Club and feature eight other teams along with Penn and the host Blue Hens. From the Ivy League, Brown is also in the field. The non-Ivy teams are Central Connecticut State, Delaware State, LUI Brooklyn, Monmouth, Rollins and Towson. The teams will play two rounds on Saturday (the first round starting at 8:30 a.m.) and a final round on Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
Penn’s lineup will feature senior Olivia Chang, junior Amanda Chin, and freshmen Sophia Chen, Isabella Rahm and Franchesca de la Torre. Another freshman, Erin Lo, will be in the field playing as an individual.
“I am looking for a strong finish for the team at Delaware,” said Head Coach Mark Anderson. “We have finished third and second in our last two events, and the team is getting more comfortable being at the top of the leaderboard. If we can put up four strong scores each day we should have another top finish.”
