Philadelphia – This weekend will close out the University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis fall schedule as the Quakers travel to Minneapolis for the Gopher Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota. The tournament will be held at the Baseline Tennis Center and will consist of four singles flights and two doubles flights.
Eight athletes will represent the Red and Blue in the Land of 10,000 Lakes: junior Jeremy Court, sophomore Vim De Alwis, senior Zach Katz, senior Nikola Kocovic, sophomore Zach Lessen, freshman Matt Nardella, freshman Thomas Spratt, and sophomore Blaine Willenborg. Three new pairings will play for the Quakers in the doubles -- Kocovic/Spratt, Court/Nardella, Willenborg/Lessen -- while Katz/De Alwis will enter their flight with a 5-5 record this fall.
Penn will face competition from host Minnesota and Ivy rivals Dartmouth and Princeton. The Red and Blue will also see Denver, Western Michigan, and DePaul.
