Men's Tennis Takes Down Delaware 5-2 |

Newark, Del. - The Quakers won four singles matches and two of three doubles to come away with a hard-fought 5-2 victory against Delaware on Wednesday evening. Penn won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to go ahead early on Wednesday. Freshman Nikola Kocovic and sophomore Mark Milbrandt won 9-8 (8) at No. 2 and the senior duo of Zach Gorn and Dmitry Bury finished with a 9-7 victory at No. 3. In singles, Hicham Laalej made quick work of his opponent at No. 1, 7-5, 6-2 to put the Red and Blue up 2-0. Zach Katz earned a singles win at No. 5, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and Jason Lin fought hard to get a three set win at No. 4 and clinch the Penn win. Lin won 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 and Kocovic closed out the Red and Blue winners at No. 3 with a tight 7-6(3), 6-7(4), 6-0 victory. The Quakers improve to 12-3 with the victory and return to action on Saturday when they face Harvard at 12 p.m. in their home Ivy opener. Singles: Doubles: |
