PHILADELPHIA - Senior Hicham Laalej was named first-team All-Ivy and freshman Zach Katz was named to the second team following the announcement of the League's All-Ivy squads on Tuesday.

Laalej was one of two unanimous selections to the first team, along with Ivy Player of the Year Matija Pecotic. He went 5-2 at the No. 1 singles spot for the Red and Blue in earning his second first-team All-Ivy selection. The senior's only two losses at the top spot came to Pecotic and fellow first-team selection Jonathan Pearlman. Laalej was injured last season but in 2009, his first season with the Red and Blue, he was a first-team All-Ivy selection.

Katz was honored as second-team All-Ivy for his performance in doubles this season. The first-year teamed up with classmate Ivan Turudic to go 4-2 in Ivy matches, with all but one of those matches coming at the No. 2 spot. He is the first freshman to earn All-Ivy honors since Jonathan Boym was named second-team All-Ivy in singles back in 2006.
