SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — On Saturday afternoon, the University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team fell in a shortened match with Cal Poly at Mustang Courts, 4-1. Both teams agreed to end the match early after the overall outcome was determined due to travel concerns.

The Mustangs started the match by winning the doubles point, after taking the No. 1 and 2 slots with a margin of 6-3. With the doubles point locked up, the third matchup did not finish.

Cal Poly jumped out to a 3-0 lead with wins at the No. 1 and 2 slots. At the No. 5 spot, senior co-captain Zach Katz prevented the sweep with a win over Gannon Daynes (6-4, 6-4).
