PHILADELPHIA – Luckily for the University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team, the weather won’t stop the opening of the Ivy League season as the Quakers host rival Princeton on Saturday at 1 p.m. There was hope that the teams would be able to play outside at the Hamlin Tennis Courts, but the forecast of rain will force the two teams to play in the Levy Tennis Pavilion. Saturday will be the Red and Blue's sixth home match indoors.

Coming off an unfortunate stroke of bad luck with injuries, Penn looks to make a quick recovery to play with full strength when the team welcomes the Ivy foes.

Princeton (10-7) is currently ranked 56th in the ITA’s top 75 teams. Nine of the Tigers’ first 17 matches were against ranked opponents. They won only two of the bouts, against Buffalo and Denver.

The Series with Princeton
Overall:  Princeton leads, 88-13-2
First Meeting:  The Quakers lost in 1911, 2-0.
Last Meeting:  Last year at Princeton when the Quakers lost to the Tigers by a score of 4-3.
Last Penn Win:  Penn’s last win over Princeton came in 2007, a 5-2 decision on the road.
