Preseason All-Americans  |  Preseason Top-20

PHILADELPHIA - With the calendar close to flipping to 2014, lacrosse media outlets around the country are starting to release preseason prognostications for the upcoming campaign. Inside Lacrosse has recently released its Preseason Top-20 and Preseason All-American teams, both featuring a Red and Blue tint.

Inside Lacrosse has ranked Penn -- the seven-time defending Ivy League champion -- No. 18 in the nation heading into the season. The Quakers have advanced to the last seven NCAA Tournaments, with three Final Four appearances over that span. The Red and Blue will head into the 2014 slate with the nation's longest stretch of regular season conference championships with its seven in a row.

In conjunction with the Top-20, Inside Lacrosse released its preseason All-American teams. Junior defender Meg Markham was one of two Ivy League players chosen to the squad, earning preseason second-team All-American honors. A first-team All-Region selection and a unanimous first-team All-Ivy choice in 2013, Markham leads 14 returning letterwinners and nine returning starters for the Quakers.
