GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The Penn women's rowing program concluded spring-break activities at Lake Lanier with several 1,500-meter pieces against outside competition. The Quakers sent their varsity 8, junior varsity 8, varsity 4A and 4B boats out against Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Grand Valley State and Marietta College Saturday and defeated all of them.
"Our character was tested throughout this week," said head coach Mike Lane, who noted the week featured mostly high winds and rainy conditions. "Despite all that, we came through doing what we needed to do to win. Our results from this weekend have me fired up for our opening races this weekend against Duke and Georgetown on the Cooper River. We are excited!"
