Busy Weekend For Women's Rowing

PHILADELPHIA - It's the height of the fall season for the Penn women's rowing program this weekend, as the Quakers compete in two events. On Saturday, the women will be at home with three boats competing in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. On Sunday, the full complement of women will be on Lake Carnegie in New Jersey as Penn partakes of the Princeton Chase.

"Every year I look forward to this weekend," said Head Coach Mike Lane. "Not only does it signify the beginning of winter; it is also a great marker as we are a quarter of the way into our season. 

"This weekend is an opportunity to have all of our athletes race in many cases multiple times against some of the best crews in the country," he continued. "We hope to improve on what we accomplished last weekend at the Charles. We took those results and used that as our outline of what we spent the last week focusing on."
