PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing program begins the spring portion of its season with dual races against one of its Boathouse Row partners, Saint Joseph’s, as well as George Washington University. The races will take place on Boathouse Row, the first of three straight Saturdays the Quakers will host races. These are two new opponents for the Penn women’s rowing program, who will begin their usual slate of cup races next weekend with the Connell Cup (Yale and Columbia). The buildup of the spring leads to the Ivy League Championships on Sunday, May 19. “We are really excited to get our 2013 campaign underway,” said Penn’s head coach, Mike Lane. “It has been a very productive year so far, and we are very excited to put all the hard work to test! With our new staff in place we have made some great steps forward, holding each rower accountable to make the change we have asked for. They have done that, and I am now very excited to see that hard work take shape on the water.” Saturday’s Race Schedule Spectator Bus Listen In! 1) By accessing the portal over any computer or iOS/Android device at http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/penn.portal |
