PHILADELPHIA – Penn Athletics announced an upgraded version of its Penn Rewards app and Penn Rewards mobile site. Available free of charge for both iPhones and Android devices, the Penn Rewards app allows Quaker fans to accumulate points for Penn Athletics events attended with increased social media integration and sharing. For non-iPhone and Android users, the mobile site completely mirrors the app and allows for the same interaction.
Penn fans that had previously downloaded the Penn Rewards app should click the appropriate link for iPhone or Android and re-download the application. If a user registers for the new application with the e-mail on file for the old version, any Penn Rewards Points accumulated to this point will automatically roll over.
As a special offer, anyone who downloads Penn Rewards and registers before Nov. 30 will receive a free ticket to the men’s basketball game against Wagner on Dec. 7. Details on ticket pickup will be distributed to applicable Penn Rewards members leading up to the game.
Added Features in Penn Rewards:
Increased Social Media Integration: Earn points for posting about the Quakers to Twitter and Facebook.
Fan Cam: Upload pictures from Penn Athletics events and they could be featured in the videoboards at Franklin Field, The Palestra, Rhodes Field and Ellen Vagelos Field.
Mobile Site: In addition to the app, www.PennRewards.com allows anyone with internet on their mobile phone to access the site.
