The following are academic honors won by student-athletes at the University of Pennsylvania during the 2008-09 academic year...

Both the men's and women's soccer teams received the Academic Team Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in 2008-09, making Penn one of just 67 NCAA institutions (all divisions) to have both programs recognized. This fall, women's cross country was named an All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In July, men's tennis received All-Academic Team honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). One month later, women's lacrosse received Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Academic Squad recognition, and men's golf was one of just 46 teams nationally to earn All-Academic status with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) with a team GPA above 3.0.
