PHILADELPHIA - The 2011 MLS SuperDraft is taking place on Jan. 13, beginning at noon in Baltimore, Md. After the teams have concluded making their selections, Philadelphia's MLS franchise will be hosting a post-draft event at Tir Na Nog in Baltimore's Inner Harbor section. The marquee event of the evening is a panel hosted by Philadelphia Union analyst J.P. Dellacamera and featuring local coaches and media. One of the coaches tabbed by the Union to provide in-depth analysis on the players selected is head coach of men's soccer at Penn, Rudy Fuller.
Coming off a season where he guided the Quakers to a 13-6-0 record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Championships, Fuller is well-versed in the elite collegiate soccer players expected to be selected on Thursday. A former NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year, Fuller has also spent time as an assistant coach with the United States U-15 National team while also coaching with the Olympic Development Program at the state and regional level.
