Team Statistics

PHILADELPHIA - After waiting over a month since its last match, the Men's Squash team is ready to get back on the courts and begin the second half of its season when it hosts Williams College on Saturday at 3 p.m. Right out of the gate, the Quakers (3-3) will be faced with an early test as Williams (4-5) comes in as the 11th ranked team in the country.

The Quakers will be looking to continue the momentum that they built up before the New Year. After dropping their first three matches, the Quakers were on a tear heading into the break, winning their last three competitions against Bates, Brown, and Navy. During this streak the team has won 25 of the 27 individual matches played.

Williams also got off to a slow start at the beginning of the season, but has since rebounded and is currently in the midst of a three match winning streak of its own.

If past performances are any indication, the match with Williams should be a tightly contested battle. Williams and Penn have three common opponents to date and the results could not be more even. Penn and Williams each have identical losses to Franklin & Marshall and Yale, losing 8-1, and 9-0 respectively. Each squad also owns a 9-0 victory over Bates. In the match between Penn and Williams a year ago, it was Penn who managed to squeak out a 5-4 victory on the road.

16 nationally ranked players will be represented this weekend in the men's competition. Penn boasts nine of those players, while Williams has seven representatives in the national rankings.
