Penn (2-3) enters Thursday's match holding the No. 9 ranking in the most recent CSA poll, which came out on Nov. 23. Since then, the Quakers have won twice, defeating No. 12 Bates College last Saturday and No. 14 Brown on Sunday.
Coincidentally, Navy comes to Ringe boasting the No. 13 ranking in that poll. The Midshipmen are already 13-2 on the season, with the losses coming Nov. 19 at Dartmouth (9-0) and this past weekend to St. Lawrence (8-1).
"Navy teams are always very fit and tough to beat," said Penn head coach Jack Wyant. "Our goal is to apply the tactical and technical principles we have been working on all season to a game situation. If we successfully execute this, then we have a great chance to win."
