CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Men's squash (3-2, 0-2 Ivy) just could not stop No. 5 Harvard (10-0, 2-0 Ivy) on Saturday as the Crimson swept their eighth straight match. The Quakers just seemed to hit the Crimson at the wrong time Saturday as Harvard is currently in the midst of the program's longest consecutive sweeps streak. This was before the hosts added their top performer to the ladder after the Ivy League declared that Ali Farag, the nation's top junior player, was eligible for collegiate completion.

In the anticipated debut of Farag, Penn's senior captain Thomas Mattsson did not back down from the challenge and played the freshman tough in each game, but would come up just shy in each of the three.

Dan Greenberg (No. 2) and Daniel Judd (No. 3) each moved up the ladder as Penn was playing its first match since the win over Williams in December. For some perspective on the depth in Harvard's ladder, Judd, who was playing the highest ranked match of his career, took on All-Ivy performer Gary Power. Last season, Power played No. 1 for the fifth-ranked Crimson.

At No. 5, John Dudzik played a pair of tiebreaks in his second and third games, but was edged 14-12 in each of those games. Freshman Jack Maine also came close to pulling out a game several times, including a 11-9 final in his first game, but like so many others he would fall victim to a very talented Harvard squad.

The No. 9 Quakers will return to the courts Sunday in a pivotal match at No. 7 Dartmouth as Penn looks to move into the top-eight of the national rankings. The meeting with Dartmouth now has a noon start time.
