PHILADELPHIA – Coming off an emotional win against Williams College on Saturday, the 14th-ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team returned to the courts on Sunday and defeated No. 19 George Washington, 7-2.

The Penn men are off to a 2-0 start for the first time since the 2006-07 season, when the Quakers defeated Ivy League opponents Cornell and Yale to open up the year.

Penn dropped the No. 1 and No. 2 matches but were able to win the remaining seven, led by freshman Rahil Fazelbhoy, who won 3-1.

Captains John Dudzik and Jack Maine continued their winning ways, shutting out their opponents 3-0. Senior Derek Chilvers also won his second match of the year, and has yet to allow an opponent more than seven points in a game.

Penn will be off for the Thanksgiving break before returning to competition at Navy on Dec. 5.
