PHILADELPHIA – A breakthrough season for the University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team comes down to the regular season finale against fellow Ivy, No. 11 Columbia.

The eighth-ranked Quakers (7-4, 3-3 Ivy) will be looking to complete their first winning season in two years and first winning-record in Ivy play since 2006-07. Also at stake for Penn, will be the opportunity to play in the Potter Cup at the CSA Team Championships on Feb. 14-16 in Boston.

Looking to end the season on a winning note after dropping their last match at Cornell, 8-1, late Friday evening, Penn will rely on its co-captains John Dudzik and Jack Maine to lead the way.

The Red and Blue will also rely on their depth as they have all season with winning contributions from Michael Mutscheller, Rahil Fazelbhoy, George Lemmon and Augie Frank.

Columbia (6-5, 2-4 Ivy) is coming off two consecutive Ivy losses to Harvard and Princeton entering its match versus Penn.

In last year’s match, the upstart Lions defeated Penn 5-4 at home. The Quakers hold the overall series advantage over the recently developed Lions program, 3-1.

The match against Columbia will be the final regular season home match for Penn’s Dudzik, and fellow senior Derek Chilvers.

Penn and Columbia will square off beginning at 1 p.m. in Ringe Courts.
