Ivy League Release

PHILADELPHIA - For the second straight season, Nabilla Ariffin and Rachael Goh have been named first-team All-Ivy performers. The All-Ivy squad is comprised of 12 players this season with ties in the voting. Both juniors, Goh and Ariffin each spent time this season at the No. 1 position on the ladder and played no lower than No. 2. Both players also advanced to the Round of 16 at the individual national championships.

Ariffin was a unanimous selection for the second straight season. She compiled an 8-9 mark, including a 3-4 Ivy League record this season, playing the majority of the year at the No. 1 position. All three of Ariffin's Ivy League wins during the regular season came in straight games and were all at the top position on the ladder. During her time at Penn, Ariffin has never played lower than the second position on the ladder. She has won 27 matches for the Quakers in her first three seasons.

Goh was also named an All-Ivy performer for the second straight season. Goh went 11-5 this season, including a 4-2 mark in Ivy matches. At her typical No. 2 position, Goh went 4-1 in league matches with all of those victories coming in three games. She now has a career record of 38-14 in her first three seasons. This record includes a 13-5 mark in Ivy League matches.

Goh finished the season as the 10th-ranked player in the nation, while Ariffin was ranked 13th in the final set of rankings. This marks the fifth time in the last six seasons that the women's side has had two players selected to the All-Ivy team.
