ECAC Annual Awards

PHILADELPHIA – Fresh off its second consecutive ECAC title, and fifth in program history, the Penn gymnastics team received a couple of more honors. Kirsten Strausbaugh was named co-ECAC Athlete of the Year and Haleigh Zillges was selected as an ECAC Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Strausbaugh became the fifth Quaker in program history to earn the award. The senior co-captain also earned her third consecutive invitation to the NCAA regional championships, becoming just the second gymnast in Penn history to do so.

Zillges was selected as one of four ECAC Scholar Athletes of the Year in her fourth and final year at Penn. She becomes the seventh Quaker to win the honor in program history. Zillges is will graduate Magna Cum Laude from the College of Arts and Science this spring with a degree in Anthropoly.
