PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its 2010 All-Ivy teams in the sport of field hockey, and Penn is represented by senior captain Laurel McGarvie who was a second-team selection. The All-Ivy teams were voted on by the eight coaches.
The senior midfielder was one of four players to start all 17 games for the Quakers, and tied for the team lead in goals (3) and points (8). This is McGarvie's second All-Ivy certificate; she received honorable mention All-Ivy as a junior.
Princeton's Kathleen Sharkey was voted the Ivy League Player of the Year, while Cornell's Hannah Balleza and Yale's Georgia Holland tied in voting for the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and will share the honor.
