PHILADELPHIA – Harvard will be the last Ivy team the University of Pennsylvania men’s swimming and diving team will face before all of the Ancient Eight teaqms compete in championships starting on February 27. The Crimson come to Sheerr Pool for the Red and Blue’s last home dual meet of the season, which will be held on Saturday at noon.

Penn (6-3 overall, 4-2 Ivy) looks to keep the momentum in its favor against Harvard (7-2 overall, 6-0 Ivy), after winning three duals in a row including last week’s victories over West Chester and La Salle.

Against West Chester, the Quakers won 11 events and also broke a pool record in the 200 free relay. The “A team” – junior Alex Porter, sophomore Eric Schultz, junior Dillon McHugh, senior Rhoads Worster – swam the event as an exhibition heat, breaking the time of 1:22.55, after touching the wall at 1:22.05.

The 11 event wins against the Golden Rams included the 200 medley relay, 50 & 1000 free, 100 & 200 back, 100 & 200 breast, 100 & 200 fly, and 1 & 3 meter dives.

Penn took on La Salle the following day, coming out with another victory and 10 first place finishes. After locking up the overall win, the Quakers competed in exhibition heats in the 50 fly, 1 meter dive, 200 IM, and 200 free relay and would have had three additional first place finishes.
