Jerry McConnell enters his sixth season on the coaching staff as the offensive backs and quarterbacks coach in 2012. He brings over 30 years of football coaching experience at the high school and college levels.

This past season, McConnell was in charge of an offense that has two first-team All-CSFL performers and four second-team All-CSFL honorees. McConnell also helped to develop the most successful quarterback in the history of the sprint football program, Todd Busler.

Under McConnell's tutelage, Busler rewrote the records books. He finished as the all-time leading passer and has the two best single-season passing records. Busler also owns eight of the top-10 single-game passing performances.

Before coming to Penn, McConnell served as head coach at Holy Cross High School in New Jersey for three seasons. While at Holy Cross, he compiled a 26-8 record and won two conference titles. McConnell also has served as an assistant at Temple University and La Salle University.

McConnell and his wife Pat have three children and reside in Cinnaminson, N.J.
