Jerry McConnell enters his eighth season on the coaching staff as the offensive coordinator, where he focuses on the backs and quarterbacks in 2014. He brings over 30 years of football coaching experience at the high school and college levels.

This past season, Penn ranked first in the CSFL in team offense, averaging 397 yards per game. Four Quakers were named first-team All-CSFL – receiver Mike Bass, running back Mike Beamish, tight end Brendan Dale, and lineman Donnie Kneisel.

During the 2012 season, two Penn offensive players earned first-team All-CSFL – running back Mike Beamish and wide receiver Whit Shaw.

In 2011, McConnell was in charge of an offense that has two first-team All-CSFL performers and four second-team All-CSFL honorees. McConnell also helped to develop the most successful quarterback in the history of the sprint football program, Todd Busler.

Under McConnell's tutelage, Busler rewrote the records books. He finished as the all-time leading passer and has the two best single-season passing records. Busler also owns eight of the top-10 single-game passing performances.

Before coming to Penn, McConnell served as head coach at Holy Cross High School in New Jersey for three seasons. While at Holy Cross, he compiled a 26-8 record and won two conference titles. McConnell also has served as an assistant at Temple University and La Salle University.

McConnell and his wife Pat have three children and reside in Cinnaminson, N.J.
