PROVIDENCE, R.I.--The Penn women's basketball team ran into cold-shooting in Providence, sinking just 1-of-19 from three-point range. The Quakers conceded a 72-59 decision to Brown and fell to 3-18 on the season. Brown snapped its losing streak and improved to 2-19.

The Quakers couldn't get the lid off the basket at the Pizzitola Center and trailed by 21 points with just less than five minutes remaining in the first half, but cut that decifit to 15 before heading to the locker room.

The Quakers came back energized in the second and outscored the Bears by two in the half, but it was not enough to close the gap.

Freshman Kim Adams led Penn for the second consecutive game. She dropped a career-high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Carrie Biemer scored in double-digits as well with 13 points. It was sophomore Sarah Bucar that led the Quakers on the boards with a career-best 10 rebounds.

Brown was led by Shae Fitzpatrick with 15 points and Sadiea Williams with 10. Williams and Annesley O'Neal led the Bears' rebounding with seven each.

The Quakers will stop at Yale on the way home for a 7 p.m. match-up Saturday.
