Ivy League Championships - second-round results (PDF)
GALLOWAY, N.J. - The Penn women's golf team is still right in the hunt for the Ivy League Championships team title after two days of action at the Seaview Golf Resort Bay Course. The Red and Blue will aim for their second team title in three years on Sunday, when the tournament concludes with one final round.
The Quakers shot 317 on Saturday, improving their score by nine from Friday's first round. That left them in second place at 643, three strokes behind Harvard. The Crimson shot 308 as a team on Saturday and is at 640 heading into Sunday's final round.
Defending champion Yale is third, at 644, while Columbia shot 311 on Saturday and is fourth at 649. Brown (327 on Saturday) is fifth at 672, Princeton (335) is sixth at 690, and Dartmouth (348) is seventh at 693.
Individually, junior Isabel Han had the day's low round, carding a 1-over-par 72 which was also her low round for the 2011-12 year. That put her at 11-over-par 153 for the tournament so far, tied for second place with Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra. Harvard's Bonnie Hu, who shot a 73 on Saturday, leads the event at 140.
Freshman Amanda Chin shot an 82 on Saturday and is tied for seventh overall at 161, while sophomore Olivia Chang carded an 83 and is tied for 10th overall at 163. Michelle Lee shaved six strokes off her score from Friday to Saturday, scoring for the Quakers with an 80, and she is tied for 16th at 166. Libby Hooton carded an 87 on Saturday and is tied for 24th at 173.
