HANOVER, N.H. - The University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team saw its Ivy League unbeaten streak come to an end at nine matches Saturday night, as Dartmouth scored early in the second half and made it stand up for a 2-1 win at Burnham Field.

Penn's loss, coupled with Princeton's 2-1 win at Columbia, means that the Tigers are now atop the Ivy League table at 4-0-0. The Quakers and Dartmouth are now tied for second place, both at 3-1-0, while Harvard is now fourth at 2-1-1 (the Crimson defeated Brown, 4-1, earlier in the day).

Penn fell to 7-5-1 overall, and continued a string of futility in Hanover -- the Quakers have not won there since 2002. Dartmouth improved to 9-4-0 overall.

Dartmouth was first on the board Saturday night, as Chrissy Lozier was able to finish with an assist from Kelly Brait in the 13th minute. As the match approached the half-hour, Penn drew level as Kerry Scalora sent a ball in that found the inside of the far post. It marked the fourth straight Ivy League goal that Scalora has been involved in -- she has scored three of them, and assisted the other. Scalora was a menace all night, with six shots including three on goal.

Dartmouth scored again just eight minutes into the second half, and this one Penn could not get back. Aurelia Solomon netted it, her first goal of the season, with Brait again assisting.

Penn and Dartmouth each took 12 shots in the game, but Big Green goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders was far busier as she had to make seven saves while Sarah Banks was called on to make just one stop.

Penn returns to Ivy League action again next Saturday, traveling to Yale to face the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m.
