West Chester, Pa. - The women's swimming team had few problems on Friday night at West Chester, winning 11 of 14 swimming events en route to a 173-127 win over the Golden Rams.
The Quakers were victorious in both relays, starting the evening with a strong performance from their 'A' team of Lauryn Brown, Emily Ashton, Taylor Sneed and Emma Siewert to finish the 200 Medley in 1:49.09. They would end the night with the 'A' team of Emily Baturka, Brown, Sydney Stinner and Lauren Church combining to take home the 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:38.09.
There was little let-up in between. Julia Anderson took home first in the 1000 Freestyle in 10:31.73. She was followed in rapid succession by wins from Annie McCotter in the 200 Freestyle (1:56.66) and Brown in the 100 Backstroke (59.05).
McCotter soon thereafter won her second event of the night, nipping Taylor Sneed at the line to win by two-tenths of a second in the 200 Butterfly (2:07.73). Baturka sprinted to a win in the 50 Freestyle (24.52) before Stinner made it a double, winning the 100 Freestyle in 53.35.
The night closed out with wins from Blair Webb in the 500 Freestyle (5:06.13), Brown in the 100 Butterfly (59.22) and Dayae Choi in the 200 IM (2:12.77).
