PHILADELPHIA –
Third-ranked Penn (11-2, 4-2 Ivy) won its fourth-straight match on Friday
night, sweeping No. 12 Columbia (3-9, 0-6), 9-0, in New York City. The Quakers won
eight of the nine matches in straight games, dropping just one overall at the
seventh position.
Hyland Murphy played in just her second match of the season,
winning in straight games at No. 9. Tri-captain Stephanie Vogel took her match
in straight games as well at the eighth position. Ailsa Agnew won her match at
No. 7, 3-1, dropping the only game of the night for the Quakers.
Nabilla Ariffin, Rachael Goh, Haidi Lala, Pia Trikha, Yarden
Odinak and Camille Lanier all won their matches in straight games. The Quakers
will resume play on Sunday for Senior Day against Cornell in Philadelphia. The
match will be their final one of the regular season, as they look to lock up
the third-place spot in the Ivy League and cement themselves as the No. 3 team
in the country.
