PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League is recognizing Black History Month by focusing on the 2013 theme of "At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality." With that in mind, the League will be profiling 16 current student-athletes from the eight institutions - a man and a woman from each school - on IvyLeagueSports.com throughout the month of February. The series begins today and the first to be highlighted is Penn women's swimmer Taylor Sneed.
Sneed is a sophomore and is the program's record-holder in the 100 Butterfly, as well as a member of the team that set the current Penn standard in the 200 Medley Relay.
The full article is available here as she reflects on her past experiences and discusses both her current and future role as a leader in the African-American community.
