WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team improved by 15 strokes from the first round to the second round, and finished 15th out of 28 teams at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate. The tournament was hosted by William & Mary and took place at the Kingsmill Resort River Course, a par-71 layout for this event.

Playing its first tournament of the spring season, Penn shot 314 in the second round to finish the tournament at 643. That was just one shot behind Boston University and two shots behind Columbia and St. Leo. Boston College won the tournament with a two-round total of 598, well ahead of second-place Richmond (609) and third-place Longwood (612). The other Ivy League team in the field, Yale, was sixth overall at 618.

Sophomore Amanda Chin picked up where she left off in Sunday's first round, carding a 74 in the final round to finish at 153 which tied her for 15th in the 148-player field. Junior Michelle Lee also shot a 74 in the second round, an 11-stroke improvement from Sunday, and she tied for 51st at 159. Classmate Olivia Chang shot an 82 and finished the tournament tied for 81st at 165, while Isabel Han carded an 84 in the final round and tied for 92nd with an overall 166. Senior Allison Oakes shot 84 and tied for 111th with a two-round total of 172.

BC's Vinh-Hoa Ngo was the individual medalist; she shot 74-71--145 to finish at 3-over par which was two shots ahead of second-place Hannah Pierce from Longwood. Yale's Seo Hee Moon was the low Ivy League player at the event; she carded 76-75--151 and tied for eighth.

Penn returns to action April 8-9 when the Quakers participate in the 54-hole Hoya Invitational, which will be hosted by Georgetown University in Beallsville, Md.
