2007 Cissie Leary Program and Bracket
PHILADELPHIA - Ten women's tennis teams from around the country will compete in the 11th Annual Cissie Leary Memorial Tennis Invitational over the weekend. Teams participating include Penn, Virginia Tech, Kansas, St. Bonaventure, Cornell, Columbia, Temple, UMass, Yale and Princeton.
Play begins with five ranked women in the Fila/ITA preseason rankings in action. Penn's Ekaterina Kosminskaya, ranked 95th, is the number one overall seed in the draw. Other ranked players include Princeton's Melissa Saiontz (98), Elizaveta Avdeeva (117) from Kansas, Penn's Yulia Rivelis (124) and Yale's Jessica Kim (125).
In addition, there are three nationally ranked doubles teams in the draw. The team of Avdeeva and Edina Horvath from Kansas are ranked 36th in the country. Other ranked teams include Rebecca Parks and Taylor Marable from Princeton, who are ranked 43rd, and the 53rd-rankedteam of Kosminskaya and Julia Koulbitskaya from Penn.
