Letter from Penn Head Coach Roger Reina
Dear Friends of Wrestling,

The University of Pennsylvania Wrestling program is extremely proud to be hosting the 100th running of the Eastern Championships, the first intercollegiate wrestling tournament in history.

Penn has a long and rich tradition in the classic sport of amateur wrestling, and the 2004 Eastern Championships promises to be as competitive as any in history, combining extraordinary opportunities for wrestling enthusiasts and participants alike.

Our goals are to run a memorable tournament, honor the member schools and outstanding individuals who have competed in the Easterns, and give the wrestling community the opportunity to show its strength and support as our sport enters its second century of intercollegiate competition.

Mark your calendars now and make plans for a once in a lifetime weekend. A high level NCAA Wrestling action, the EIWA Centennial Celebration Banquet and all of the activities surrounding the EIWA Centennial Celebration of wrestling will make this an event you won't want to miss!

We invite you to participate.

Sincerely,

Roger Reina
Head Wrestling Coach
University of Pennsylvania
