PHILADELPHIA – Student-athletes, coaches, and staff from many different Penn Athletics programs joined together with other members of the Penn community to host a special day of football with Special Olympics Unified Sports on October 15 at Penn's Ellen Vagelos Field.

Members of the football, sprint football, men's soccer and women's soccer teams joined alongside representatives from the cheerleading squad, the Penn Band, Club Sports athletes, Penn Recreation staffers and members of Penn's Special Olympics to help host skills clinics and flag football games for over 60 Special Olympics athletes from across the Philadelphia region.

Athletes representing the Bucks County, Chester County, Delaware County, and Montgomery County Unified Sports programs competed in flag football while also learning soccer skills and interacting with Penn student-athletes.
