PHILADELPHIA - Senior Ali Ryan of the women's lacrosse team has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, the League office announced Monday.
Ryan, a native of Radnor, had a standout first week of the season as she helped the Quakers to a 3-0 start. Ryan scored eight goals in three games, including four goals in Penn's 14-10 win over Ohio State Saturday and two goals in a 14-6 rout of No. 20 Temple last Wednesday. Ryan also dished out two assists over those three games and had a .667 shot percentage, as well as causing six turnovers.
The Quakers continue their season Tuesday, taking on No. 1 Northwestern at Franklin Field at 3 p.m.
