Allen Sees Squad's Offensive Identity Taking Shape

In the span of two straight weekends in the Ancient Eight, the Penn men's basketball program has managed to manufacture two times the total number of victories the club collected during non-conference competition. As a result, the Red and Blue will commence a season-long five-game homestand with a 2-2 Ivy League mark, which ties the Quakers with the Yale Bulldogs for fourth place in the standings.

Friday, Penn will be paired with a ranked opponent for the fourth time this campaign, as #22 Cornell comes to the Palestra. The match-up will pit the interim John R. Rockwell Head Coach of Men's Basketball at Penn Jerome Allen against Steve Donahue, now in charge of the Big Red after having served as an assistant during Allen's tenure as a member of the Quakers.

In the latest installment of the 'Independence Blue Cross Jerome Allen Show,' the 2009 Big Five Hall of Fame Inductee discusses the areas in which he's observed his team advance as of late, and also updates the injury prognosis of sophomore forward Michael Howlett.
