PHILADELPHIA - On Sunday, September 28 at Penn Park, the University of Pennsylvania softball team hosted its annual Alumnae game and Parent/Daughter game. The weather could not have been more perfect, which allowed for a fantastic event turnout. The alumnae made a strong showing with representatives from classes over the past 20 years, while the parents arrived with their game faces on and ready to show their daughters some of the tricks they had up their sleeves. Between the two games, the children of the alumnae stepped up to the plate for the chance to swing the bat and run the bases.
The Alumnae game and Parent/Daughter game were followed by a barbeque, where players, parents and alumnae reminisced about seasons past and generated some excitement for the upcoming spring season.
Head Coach Leslie King saw positive moments from her group of 26 players during this fall season and anticipates much growth and refinement over these next few months leading into Spring Training.
