Another Relay Qualifies for IC4A's for Men's Track and Field

Men's Postseason Qualifiers

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Yet another relay team qualified for the IC4A Championships for the University of Pennsylvania indoor men's track and field team Saturday at the Penn State National.

The 3,200-meter relay team of freshmen Kyle McFadden, Joseph Myrie, Brian Fulton and sophomore Robert Dugger came in at 7:48.26 to grab a spot in the postseason meet next month. With the accomplishment, the relay joined the 1,600-meter and distance medley relay teams with qualifying marks.

Elsewhere on the second day of competition at Penn State's Ashenfelter Track, Dugger was sixth in the mile. His time of 4:18.75 was his best of the young season.

Brian Fultonplaced ninth in the 800 meters with a season-best result of 1:53.39, while sophomore Luke Grau was followed by sophomore Christopher Baird in the 3,000 meters, finishing sixth and ninth, respectively. Grau finished in 8:28.49, while Baird came in with a time of 8:31.15.

On Friday, the distance medley relay exceeded their previous IC4A qualifying markwith its 12th-place finish of 10:12.70 and sophomore James Foreman won the pole vault with his best effort of the season.

In a change from the orginal schedule, the Quakerswill be traveling to New Haven, Conn., for the Yale Invitationalnext weekend, Feb. 6-7.
