Armeny Earns Academic All-District Honors

PHILADELPHIA – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District baseball teams on Thursday. Penn junior Kyle Armeny was named First-Team in District II. To be eligible for consideration a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and a starter or key reserve with a 3.2 GPA. The teams were voted on by CoSIDA members.

Armeny became a force and a legitimate long-ball threat in the middle of Penn’s lineup this season. He led the Quakers in a number of offensive categories including batting average (.326), runs (35), doubles (14), home runs (8), total bases (84), slugging percentage (.596) and walks (29).

Since Armeny was a first-team selection, he is now eligible to be nominated for Academic All-America.
