Baseball Begins Two-Game Set with VCU

RICHMOND, Va. - After a three-game series with Old Dominion to begin its spring break trip, the University of Pennsylvania baseball team will face Virginia Commonwealth University on Tuesday and Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. both days.

Penn (1-5) begins the series with the Rams (5-7) looking for its first win on the week long trip to Virginia. The Quakers fell in a doubleheader on Sunday to Old Dominion by the scores 5-1 and 5-3, before dropping the final game 9-8.

On the mound for Penn in game one will be sophomore left-handed pitcher Mike Reitcheck 1-0), making his first start of the 2015 season. Reitcheck picked up the Quakers only victory thus far, coming on to begin a continued game versus Stetson in Florida in Penn's opening weekend. He will oppose VCU's right-hander Ben Stine (0-0), who will be making his second appearance of the season.
