Baseball's Moses Named Ivy Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Quaker right fielder/designated hitter Tony Moses has been named Rookie of the Week by Ivy League officials for his strong performance in Penn's first eight games of the season in Florida.

Moses, a freshman fromHuntington Beach, Calif.,batted .296 (8-for-27) and had a team-leading .424 on-base percentage for the week. In Penn's comeback victory over Maine on March 11, Moses went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and had the first RBI in a six-run eighth inning that lifted the Quakers from a 12-9 deficit.

The Quakers return to action this weekend for their home-opening doubleheader against Lehigh on Saturday, March 18, at Meiklejohn Stadium.
