Baseball's Tesch Ivy League Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – After a weekend that included his first home run of the season and knocking in four runs, University of Pennsylvania sophomore outfielder Gary Tesch has been named The Ivy League Player of the Week for the week ending, March 23.

The Cypress, Texas native totaled six hits including one double and a home run and drove in four runs offensively, while walking once, in a four game series versus Lafayette. Tesch also stole two bases and recorded 10 put outs while patrolling center field for the Quakers.

The six hits gave Tesch a .462 batting average in four games, with a .533 on-base percentage and a .769 slugging percentage.
